Introduction
The IT & e-Governance Division is entrusted with the work of strengthening IT activities which include maintenance of online applications for recognition under Section 14,15; appeals under Section 18 of the NCTE Act; internet connectivity and website design and maintenance etc. In addition, it is envisioned that it would also look after implementation of Office Automation, Mapping of Teacher Education Institutions through Geographical Information System (GIS), Legal Case Management System, Digitization of Records with retrieval system and video conferencing in addition to trouble shooting of IT related problems.
Activities
The following activities are currently undertaken by the IT & e-Governance Division:

Website – NCTE has recently launched (on 21st May, 2019) its new dynamic website with the updated contents.

Recognition module – NCTE has launched the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from the session 2020-21. Online application for the same has been called by the NCTE and the timeline for the same is 3rd June to 31st July, 2019.

Appeal Module - NCTE has revamped its online appeal module (u/s 18 of the NCTE Act 1993).

Teacher Pupil Registrations- For the facilitation of candidates who have been passed out/pursuing any recognized TEPs, they may assess the genuineness of their course by applying here.

Best Teacher Award 2019 – NCTE first time ever in its history, has called the applications for best teacher educator award. Last date of the same is 16th September, 2019.

PAR System – Performance Appraisal Report System is for the evaluating the performance of recognized TEIs.
